Life is often hard but that doesn't change the truth that God is with us AND he is good. I don't know about you but I often need a change of focus. When we make his goodness our focus, our imperfect life suddenly seem perfect enough. God is good, and our lives can be viewed as good as well.

Do you ever need reassurance? I need it daily. And Psalm 23 has become a go to for my soul. In six little verses, there is a powerful message that can steady us and bring peace to our minds.

Lord,
I trust I will have all that I need, when I need it. I trust that every perceived stall is you letting me catch my breath and be refreshed for a moment. I trust that I will have all that I need as you provide for me as my good good Shepherd . Help me to remember that today.🙏

Home from an amazing few days at the Communicators Collective in Myrtle Beach, So Carolina. I am humbled to be part of these women who encourage other women through many different ways and ministries. The airport delay was crazy yesterday, but my fun travel buddy @judydunagan even helped to make that a memory.... haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The past two days have been rich and full of friendship, fellowship, laughter and learning.

Most of us want to know God's will for us. We over

Most of us want to know God's will for us. We overthink, processing circumstances, opportunities, and facts over and over again. Most of us know how to overthink.

There is a real need for direction in life, but in today's scripture, we get a glimpse of the foundation for God's will. It may sound simplistic, but it is biblical and rich in application.

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus… 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

There are three points to this verse.
1. be thankful
2. in all circumstances
3. this is God's will.

In life, many things are out of our control, but we always can choose the direction that we will take and the attitude that we carry with us. God cares a lot about our attitude and calls us to a place of thankfulness. I'm navigating some circumstances right now that are once again challenging me to put my hope in Gods love for me. It's hard not to overthink it live ten steps ahead. But I'm choosing repeated thanks instead.

God can use all circumstances for our good and being we belong to him we can practice giving thanks even in the middle of hard things. So though you might not know what God's exact will is today in the middle of your current circumstance, you can be sure of this… It is always God's will that we thank him and look to him in the middle of everything that we go through. It might not be easy, but following God and submitting to his will is a daily act of surrender. The good news is, we are surrendering to someone who loves us beyond what we could possibly imagine and wants good for us. He can be trusted.

Breast Cancer Awareness month!
Today I took care of the "girls" had my mammogram and reflected on being a breast cancer survivor. This time 12 years ago I was in the middle of treatment. My friends stood by me, met me at treatments, celebrated the finish line.... I was done with cancer treatments before my December birthday and the sweetest gift.... my first granddaughter was born early and on my birthday that year. It felt like a sign of hope and future. I'm grateful for these last 12 years. I remember with love, my dear friend Lori Steer who also fought breast cancer , but is now with Jesus.
Early detection saves lives.

I remember the ache in my soul when my life fell a

I remember the ache in my soul when my life fell apart. I never felt like I was enough and now that was confirmed. I knew Scripture in my head, was a Pastors wife, led women's groups, but now I needed the truth of scripture embedded more into my heart. I needed to know, not just talk about, Gods love. This study is the fruit of a few years of seeking out the love of God at a deeper level than I had ever known. Basic Scripture becoming daily reality. These truths have not failed me over the years. You can get a copy on @amazon and do it yourself or with some friends who need to understand their worth as His daughter too!

Under hard situations our faith doesn't feel as st

Under hard situations our faith doesn't feel as strong as when things are not challenging. It takes courage to believe God can and will handle things. Our part is often stepping aside as an act of surrender and echoing the prayer of Jehosophat, "we don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you" 2 Chronicles 20:12

When we don't know what to do...when the situation is out of our control ( you can't control other people, or some outcomes) we can repeatedly look to Jesus and focus on His faithfulness in the middle of every messy place we find ourself in.
