I slept EIGHT hours. That might not sound like much to you, but to me it feels like a mini miracle. I'm reminded of how different I feel when I get up remembering God and marking off things to be thankful for. They don't have to be huge things but can be the simple things...
✔️new coffee cup
✔️nut pods toasted marshmallow creamer
✔️cool Arizona morning
✔️puppy love
✔️ my sweet hubby
✔️ getting off steroids
✔️ medical insurance
✔️ fall decorations that make me smile
✔️ friendship near and far
✔️family ( grands especially)
✔️✔️✔️ scripture that I can sit in, reflect on, pray back to God and claim as my own.

Sitting in scripture is a way to be strong despite the hard and mundane around us.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

The fall fairy came.... she comes every year...she threw out some stuff to make the house feel homey and to bring a little joy in her recovery. Beautiful fresh flowers delivered today from my sweet Bakersfield friend Dee Turk❤️ even Rosie felt more homey and enjoyed the pet bed for the first time

To be open is to remain in a position to receive f

To be open is to remain in a position to receive from God. To receive requires not being blocked off by pre-conceived ideas of how things must go but to be available for God to speak to us, lead us and guide us on a regular basis. I love how this verse says to open our mouths wide.... we are asked to open and he will be faithful to fill us with good. He will not force us to open our mouth, but when we do....blessing.

Is there anything blocking you from being open to God today? Ask Him to show you. Doubts, discouragement or fears? Unforgiving attitude? Anything that would clamp your mouth closed? Bring it to Him. He deals gently with us. In fact he wants to "feed us with the finest wheat and satisfy us with wild honey from the rock" ( Psalm 81:16) a beautiful picture of how he wants to give us the richest good as we open ourselves to Him. This good may not be physical things but as we sit in Scripture, He begins to make known to us his character and his ways.

Adoption echos the heart of God. It is beautiful a

Adoption echos the heart of God. It is beautiful and sacrificial. It takes a life and knits it to a family forever changing the story. That is what our daughter @mrsmegancooper and her husband James did when they picked Declan up as a baby from the hospital nursery. Against all odds they nurtured his little life and the day came where they were able to adopt him as their very own. The rest is history. They are amazing parents.

This is what God did for us too. He adopted us making us part of his forever family. Yes, the heart of God magnified for people.

“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Reflecting on this adoption day has brought such joy to my heart. We are blessed to have lives, hearts and family knit together with our sweet grandson Declan James Cooper.❤️
