December 16.
Yesterday I stopped many times during the day to turn over to Jesus the hurt in my heart over a situation. Each time I stopped to do this the Look UP component involved thanking Him that He came to be my wonderful counselor. I thanked Him that he would advise me, resolve what needed to be resolved and give me peace. I thanked God for the Holy Spirit at work in me as a counselor and guide. The hurt of memories became a place of holy fire as I gave them over to the Lord and turned my heart towards trust. This Jesus, the Christ of Christmas, is a God we can trust with everything. He came to bring us out of darkness into the marvelous light.
Today Let’s Look Up, Look In and Look Out….Again
Day 2 Look Up Focus:
“And He will be called….Mighty God.” Isa 9:6
Mighty comes from the Hebrew word gibbor, which means powerful, warrior, champion, chief, giant, strong. With all of that in mind we can say, ” God is powerful, a warrior, and a champion. He is my giant God and my strong God int eh middle of any current problem or challenge.”
Today Read Psalm 23
Six powerful verses that can change our lives.
Note that God, as a Mighty Shepherd, is always involved…
- He makes me…
- He leads me…
- He guides me….
- He restores me…
- He is with me…
- He anoints me…
- He provides for me…
Today reflect on: The Lord is my Shepherd, The Lord is Mighty, He is Strong God, He is a Warrior fighting my battles, He is My Mighty Shepherd.
Read 2 Chronicles 2
Note: It says, You will not have to fight this battle, take your position and stand firm!
Look In: What is it that God would like you to turn over to him today? Do you believe he is strong enough to handle your problems?
Look out: Who can you bless today? What will God equip you to do in His strength that will help another on life’s journey. Can you choose forgiveness of an offense? Can you choose being kind to those who are unkind to you? It’s Christmas, choose Christ and live Him out all day to everyone you encounter.
Pray: Talk to Jesus today, stop many times to reflect, remember, and pray.
Trusting Him to be Mighty on my behalf this very day!
Would love to hear from you, send me a comment as you journey towards Christmas Day.
