Good Morning Lord!
Three words that don’t sound very significant, but they are three words that can turn the course of the day. We all know that we can not control many things, but I bet we all agree that what we can control is our attitude and our attention. And, believe it or not, that attitude and attention “set” begins from the moment we open our pretty little eyes each day.
Several years back I set my heart to make a practice of speaking to the Lord, FIRST THING, each day. Before I place my feet on the floor, from my first waking moment….Good Morning Lord. I usually follow it with…here I am, yours today, for your service. Now this does not mean that I am A-OK from that point on. But, it does mean that from my first conscious moment of the day, I am endeavoring to “set” my focus on things above and on the God who made me.
The days that I do this ( and yes, sometimes I don’t) my days go differently. My attitude starts pleasant rather than depressed or grumbly. And, when I am going through something and wake up with it fresh in the forefront of my mind, this practice of setting my mind, begins my day by giving that current trouble over to the God who cares for me. This is not a simplistic practice that ensures good things. Rather it is a focus habit that ensures peace.
My life seems to have lots of messy stuff. Ministry life is not easy, just ask anyone who is in ministry and they will tell you….it is a blessing, but it is also a WAR. But what most people don’t realize is…every person is called to ministry. Each day God has a purpose for us. It might not be a purpose anyone else sees, but He does. From the ordinary to the extra-ordinary moments, God has a purpose that we would bear fruit that would last…eternal things, things we don’t realize, each and every day.
Here’s Truth:
John 15: 16
“I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.”
How can we bear fruit if we are not connected to the vine, to the source, to the power of all growth and possibility? How can we love if we are not living in His love ourselves? Both happen by setting our minds on the truth.
I am loved, He lives in me, He called me for His use, He has appointed fruit for each day…or planting that will become future fruit later. Each day must start with the whisper…audibly from our voice, or present in our hearts.
Good Morning Lord! Here I am…again today….to live as yours.
Be a blessed vessel of power and potential, as you walk in His power and experience the potential of Him working through your life each day!
Living up! ( Under the promise and power of God)

Thank you Debbie for an inspiring weekend at Hume Lake. I am on staff at our church and about 20 of the women here are in a study that will end soon and your studies were perfect timing. I have referred them all to your website to check out and we will begin in a few weeks. You are a blessing and I left the mountain feeling so filled up with your messages and my good friend Sylvia’s music. I have been attending for about 15 or more years and this was truly the most spiritually uplifting. So thank you again for giving of your time and talents to reach our hearts so deeply.

Thanks Kay! last weekend was very special for me too. I appreciate your encouragement, and hope that what God has planted in my heart can be a continuing resource to your women there, through the bible studies.
many blessings as you plug in and Live UP!
