Getting up and going this morning. It is a beautiful day in Northern , California. But it is beautiful in more ways than one. Today is the bridal shower for my new “daughter in law” to be. I am excited to bless her, honor her, and to watch others do the same. My son is so excited to marry Janae, and he has actually a few surprises up his sleeve for the shower too.
As I am rushing around today I am aware of one main theme…God, really is in control of things. I am reminded of a GPS system. There is a route. We can take it..or not. We choose. When we choose the opposite of the suggested route, the route gets re-calculated. In the end, we get to the place on the map. It may take a little longer when we don’t listen the the voice that is saying…go this way…but in the end, the journey is re-calculated for us and we arrive to destination.
Why is this on my mind? Simply because my son, who is 29, has been engaged before. And, today I celebrate that God re-calculated the route for him and that in the end, he is marrying the woman that God has prepared and chose for him to begin with.
There is one catch: If we suspend guidance on a car, or with the Lord…the guidance is turned off and we are not directed. If we close our ears to God and our hearts to His voice….we just might get lost.
Have you ever been lost? In a forrest, on a road trip, or in relationships? In real life there are many ways to get lost. I have been lost in depression, frustration, and in toxic relationships. What about you?
God himself is bidding us to come to Him, over and over, again throughout the journey and path of living. He is our GPS…God’s Planning System…is available to each of us. We just have to turn it on…and listen.
Many blessings as you enjoy your weekend!

Thanks for the GPS analogy Deb – It really hits home with me. I know too well how lost I can get without the GPS turned on. I appreciate your excited about God’s love and it is contagious. Bless You!
