God is the God of restoration

Today is a special day. August 18th.

It might be an ordinary day for you, but this is the day our family was united together by marriage.  Ray had the girls, and I had the boys. We became the modern day Brady Bunch but quickly discovered that the Brady’s don’t exist in the real world, but only on television re-runs! The blending of two families was harder than we could have ever imagined. Some days we doubted that we would make it.

But, we are thankful that God was greater, and He IS in Us, because of that, He has been faithful to help us navigate hard things and have victory over the devils plan to destroy our lives. God is so Good!

We celebrate our 19th anniversary today and thank God for His faithfulness in restoring our lives. The restoration did not come with a new relationship or a re-marriage. The restoration came with the power of God working in us, leading and guiding us, being bigger IN US than all the problems that life has thrown at us. Daily He is changing us, shaping our souls, re-aligning our minds, and leading us into His plan.

Today’s Prayer.

Father, I don’t have enough faith on my own. My mind is filled with the doubts rather than always being filled with faith. I ask you to give me courageous, wild faith…and have your work in me, despite me. Make me a woman of BIG faith in a BIG God.
