Thanks for all the comments and well wishes. We celebrated Ray’s 60th and our anniversary and had a wonderful few days. However…now I am home, have errands to run, book deadlines to work on and a speaking engagement in two days. Good thing that I did NOTHING for a few days but vege out!
I know what you are thinking…Debbie, are you on the wheel again? And, happily I can tell you that I am not. Sometimes our lives look like the wheel on the outside, but it is the inside track that is most important. Despite the responsibilities and deadlines, I have the peace of God. I am so thrilled to be experiencing God on this level, and am encouraged that if I can experience His peace…anyone can!
Take it from someone who finds it easier to stress than relax….it is a choice. God gives us the privledge of choice every single day. Today I am going back to Phil 4:8 and putting my mind on things that are pure, good and lovely. In that mix of thoughts is the truth that God is all of those things and that in Him, I can do all things, because His strength is exchanged for my weakness!
Anyone up for an exchange?
Today’s truth: Phil 4:8, 4:13, from The Message
“Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious–the best, not the worst, the beautiful, not the ugly, things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you head and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”
“I can make it through anything, in the One who makes me what I am.”
Today’s Prayer:
God, I come to you and thank you that you have already provided strength, grace and peace for your people. I take your yoke on my shoulders and let you carry the weight for me. This use to seem impractical and now it is nothing short of exhilarating. I love you Lord. I desire to dwell on the good and release the bad to you. I want to put into practice the walk of faith today. Just for today Lord, give me all that I need, and tomorrow I will come for fresh supply again.

Peace is a choice! I agree! Worry is a lot like a rocking chair, it’s something to do but it doesn’t get you anyplace. I am on book deadline and my car died– like DEAD an expensive death died. If I worry about car, I can’t write so Satan has won twice– I don’t want to give him an inch! Peace takes back ground from Satan and gives our hearts to God to use and work dispite what life sends our way. Praying for all those amazing Design 4 Living women today! Choosin joy! Pam
