As the week is winding down I am reflecting on how hard it has been. I have many commitments right now that are pressing in from all sides. Normally I would be stressed and overwhelmed. Isn’t that how most women handle things? But, this time I am trying something different. It is a difference that I have been practicing ( when I remember) for awhile now.
Sometimes I completely forget to practice trusting God and living in the freedom that can be mine in Him. But, when I do remember and intentionally keep yanking myself back to the TRUTH that sets me on course, I not only live differently, but I am different.
Jesus identified himself as the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. Many times we live in our salvation “insurance” because He is the Way to eternal life. While living in our salvation insurance we often don’t go any further, and miss out on Jesus being the Truth and the Life for us!
He wants to be that for us! So, because I need to remember that, this month, as I told you, I am coming back each day to the verse out of 1 Peter 4, ” those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.” ( thanks to my friend Lorri Steer for giving me that verse this week!)
When we commit ourselves to his faithful hand, we can begin to be free. Free from self, free from fear, free from anxiety. Do you want that?
Today’s Truth: Galatians 5:1
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again…”
- Christ has set you free, don’t just know you have spiritual insurance, tap into the benefits of the plan!
- Stand firm in the freedom that is a benefit to you as the result of Christ’s death.
- Do not LET yourself be burdened. It is a choice, it is a lifestyle, it is not the best that God has for you. He has the freedom for you to be at peace and live at peace.
Try something different today…Live in Freedom.
Today’s Prayer.
Father, thank you for freedom in you. I commit myself, my overwhelming commitments and all of my self to you, and into your faithful hands I place myself once again. Help me learn to live Differently than I have ever lived before. And, may the difference be YOU.

Debbie, your blogs have been extremely helpful to me this week and I’m grateful that you give of yourself daily to bring encouragement and inspiration into my life and the lives of so many women. I keep going back to Tuesday’s blog, the one with the picture of the 4 women engaged in obvious gossip. I have to meet with 3 other ladies this morning and that picture you used in your blog is my friends and I getting together today. I want to bring the copy of Tuesday’s blog with me today and share it with them, so we don’t fall into a gossip trap that we normally do. Do I have what it takes to bring this with me today? Do I have what it takes to live intentionally? Or will I fall into trying to be accepted and start mindlessly chatting about another person who is not there, gossiping and being hurtful. I pray that I choose to live intentionally and remember what you have said just this week in your blogs. Thank You, Terry
