Can you believe December is just about here? The year has gone by so fast. But in this last month admist the hustle and happenings around us, let's take time to reflect on the coming of Jesus through the Christmas story.

Here is an easy few minutes a day plan for you. Thanks to @kingdombloggers for creating this. Go follow them🎄 I'm witness to the fact that daily scripture can change a heart and attitude... it is a non-negotiable in my life as it keeps me focused on something bigger than just me and my problems.

Thanksgiving 2024- Queen Creek Arizona

Had the nicest Thanksgiving at Bruce and Donna's beautiful home. @dwellegriehshammer makes everything so lovely💗 Grateful to have the kids, grandchildren, grandparents and great-grandma together.

Most of you know... the past year has been hard. T

Most of you know... the past year has been hard. The medications you see here were my daily meds...🤦🏻‍♀️This time last year I was in intense spine pain with extreme inflammation. My husband had a diagnosis of lung cancer. Last November he was still getting monthly scans as the Drs. Watched in amazement as his tumor kept shrinking. The power of so many of you praying. We are grateful for your prayers.

Then my body literally collapsed in Feb 2024 landing me in the hospital, discharged 4 days later with a wheelchair and two hard diagnosis to deal with. Each have no cure. I stayed in the wheelchair for 40 days unable to walk, graduating to a walker and then to Spontaneous Remission! Those were the drs words.... spontaneous remission...and to my husbands latest scan... "no evidence of disease"!!!🙌🙌🙌

This morning I'm overcome with gratitude. Tears of Joy over the past year in our lives and the miracle/healing hand of God in our midst. We are humbled and grateful . Our prayer and goal in life is to finish strong. We aren't young but we are committed and determined to follow God where He leads for the rest of our days.

Friends, life can be hard and the pain we go through is real. But even in it all, the power and presence of God is more real than we can imagine. Let's live like it's real!

A few hours of Pre-Thanksgiving fun with our Arizona grandkids. We will soon get to see all of our grandkids over the holidays and my heart is happy with anticipation.

My mother lived with us in her later years. It was

My mother lived with us in her later years. It was her "job" to keep the gum-ball machine filled for our then school aged kids. Now it's Papa's job!

We keep the tradition going with Christmas candy this time of year. The gum-ball machine sits prominently in our family room with a little bowl of coins next to it. Kids and grown ups alike enjoy it and so do we!

It's Thanksgiving week and that means you might sp

It's Thanksgiving week and that means you might spend time with people you don't usually see. Whether it's relatives or family friends there just might be that ONE person who gets on your very last nerve. Welcome to the holidays.

As women who place our faith in Christ, we are not immune from getting bugged by others. But, God gives instruction in His word for relating to people who get under our skin. Maybe they are too loud, talk only about themselves, brag or are condescending to others. Perhaps they love a good quarrel, juicy gossip or controversy. Regardless of who they are or how they act we are given these words, "accept them."

Accept means to endure, absorb, tolerate or put up with. What it doesn't mean is- deny, disapprove or spurn.

Does this mean we agree with them or must be excited to be with them? No. It means we are to live out our faith in Christ by accepting those He loves whether we "get them" or not.

If you know you are facing this sort of challenge this week, commit this verse to memory and pray it over yourself , your heart and your attitude.

Lord, l pray for an open heart as I head into the holidays. Forgive me for snarky attitudes and lead me into your love, grace and acceptance of others. I desire to walk in your love at all times even when someone gets on my last nerve. I don't want to judge or criticize others. I also don't want to be fake but rather to live by Faith in your power of love within me. Amen.
